The funeral took place at Parndon Wood Crematorium in Harlow, set within several acres of peaceful and ancient woodland, a very scenic spot. The weather blessed us with some beautiful winter sunshine on a cold and blustery day. We were a small gathering of family and very close friends and the service was presided over by the vicar from the Holy Trinity Church in Hertford Heath, Reverend Nick Sharpe, a lovely man. The service was a very touching and fitting tribute to Dad, with not a dry eye anywhere in sight. Many thanks to the Reverend and to Martin for his tear-jerking eulogy, he did extremely well to get through it. Flowers were taken afterwards to St James' church in Stanstead Abbotts where Mum is buried and where Dad's ashes will also be interred on 17 April, 2013. Rest in peace Dad, our world will not be the same without you, but you are at last at rest with Mum - the love of your life and ours, where you belong together. XXXXX
