We have very happy memories of our friendship with Marion and George. Dances, high tea on a Sunday and sometimes even going to the pub on a Saturday evening. We went on holiday too. On one occasion George had a new car and we went to France. There were no roadside cafés in those days, so we took a camping stove, tea, sugar & milk and every 50 miles George stopped on the roadside verge and brewed up! How we laughed, it's a wonder we ever got to our destination. This must have been nearly 60 years ago! No wonder we are creaking now.
